Under the Oregon Bottle Bill, consumers pay a $0.05 container deposit for beer and soft drink purchases. The containers can be returned to stores for a $0.05 refund for each container returned.
Effective January 1, 2009, The Oregon Legislature expanded the Oregon Bottle Bill by adding a $0.05 refund value to water and flavored water beverage containers.
