FREE Document Shredding Event in Sisters

Help Prevent Identity Theft!

SecureShred, a Division of Bend Garbage & Recycling, and the Deschutes County Sheriff's office are partnering on Saturday, July 19th in Sisters to provide residents the opportunity to safely destroy personal documents and learn identity theft prevention tips.

SecureShred will offer on-site document destruction at no cost to the public from
12:00pm - 4:00pm on Saturday, July 19th at the Sisters Sheriff's office parking lot at 703 North Larch. All residents of Deschutes County are invited to bring their personal documents for proper disposal.

The event is intended for private residential document shredding. No advance document sorting necessary. The SecureShred truck will destroy paperwork with paper clips and staples. File folders and binders may also be shredded.

Bend Garbage & Recycling Awards Scholarships to Local High Schools

Bend Garbage & Recycling has been offering scholarships in the community for 13 years.

The recipients recently graduated from Bend Senior high school, Mountain View high school and Summit high school.

Congratulations to Riley Peters, Whitney Wolfe and Brandie Jones who all showed they could work towards a goal, challenge themselves and contribute time, talent and energy to their school or community.

4th of July Holiday Collection Schedule

Bend Garbage & Recycling schedule will be as usual on Friday, July 4th.

Please have our carts curbside by 6:00 a.m.

The office will be closed and open back up on Monday, July 7th at 8:00 a.m.
