Let's Pull Together

Let's Pull Together is a noxious weed eradication event consisting of collaborative partnerships all joining together.

Why pull noxious weeds?
Noxious weeds are non-native invasive species which threaten our ecosystem. They not only crowd our native plants, but they starve wildlife, use water and create allergens. They also provide tremendous ladder fuel which during wildfires can radically change the speed and fury at which wildfires burn.

How to get involved:
Bring your weeding tool of choice, your friends and family and join in. Meet us at any one of our locations on June 13th at 9:00 am. Our site coordinators and on-site noxious weed experts will assist you in identifying native plants and noxious weeds. Sites are family friendly for children of all ages.

Our weed pull event will be followed by a celebration for our hardworking volunteers!
Festivities are free for all volunteers!
Bend Festivities: Noon at the Westside Venue in the Old Mill District. The Westside Venue is on the west side of the river at the footbridge in the Old Mill District.
Relax and enjoy live music, lunch from Cafe Yumm, and refreshing beverages including beer for Cascade Brewery. Prizes awarded to volunteers right after lunch!

Styrofoam Must Go As Trash

Styrofoam is not recyclable locally and must be disposed of in your trash. This includes all forms of Styrofoam such as packing peanuts and block Styrofoam. Please bag Styrofoam peanuts before putting them in your trash. Most mailing services will accept bagged Styrofoam peanuts for reuse.

Please be sure to remove any Styrofoam from cardboard boxes being recycled. This is especially common with electronic boxes.
